fan-listings

This is a compilation of upcoming mask-required/universal masking events in the Northeast. The goal of this site is to promote safer and more accessible events that center wearing a mask -- one of our greatest tools for mitigating the spread of airborne diseases such as COVID-19. Please bookmark this page as it will be updated with any edits/additions throughout the month!

Please note: Fan-Club is not directly organizing these events. If you have any follow-up questions about a particular listing, please directly contact the organizer(s)! Attendees can also help shape what an event looks like through outreach and dialogue -— we all share responsibility for co-creating a safer space.

Lastly, Fan-Club uses platforms that actively divest from big tech. This is an intentional move on our part, though it may take a few more steps at times. We appreciate your support in sharing this list as well as the listserve, which will launch in November!!

We’re thrilled to translate their lived experience to music, movement, and narrative for all to understand the depths of their remarkable work, while connecting it to bills on the Massachusetts state floor to dive into the real impact these bills have/could have on their life journeys.
Our honorees this year are Claudia Alick, Dr. Baiyina Muhammad, Casandra Xavier, and Tom Wiggins. These honorees work in dance, theatre, and producing accessible performances (Claudia Alick); researching the lived experience of blackness and disability (Dr. Baiyina Muhammad); utilizing technology and other mediums to advocate for the deaf-blind community; and being a lesser known ancestral musical prodigy (Tom Wiggins).
